Training on AC 7

Post by DonAshby » Tue Jan 22, 2008 6:03 pm

Hi Everyone -

What is the best way to learn about how to customize this platform? Could there be training on it after Final release? so that we can see how all the parts fit together? and how to best approach customization with asp.net and C# and maybe Visual Studio? and ConLib ? etc

Is there interest in this from others?

Don :?:

I would definitely be interested in training. Learning the hard way has left a few scars.

Probably would need separate class offerings for those with and those without the source code option.

What a great idea - I like it! 8)

Hello Don,

Those kinds of questions will be answered in the developer guide. 8 years ago we'd spent a ton of money to setup a classroom and we didn't have much luck getting it filled. I guess with some of the web based training products available now days, it should be something we look at again.
Thanks for your support

That's a tough part of the IT business.

Training helps both the developer and the customer, but it also takes valuable resources away from product development due to the technical nature of the subject matter.

I think the problem wasn't filling the room, it was filling it with something other than after hours gaming. If I remember right.

Yeah a web based traning approach is better - technology has progressed enough to make this viable.
Cheers,
Logan
