Use dataclient to import/export product options/variants

I tried to use the data client beta util. to transfer product data from the test server to the production server.
I was able to download the category data and product data via either csv file or xml file.
However, when I used the xml method to import. It failed.
I was able to upload using the csv files. However, the csv file method does not handle the product options (in our case, there is a lot and re-entering them will be very time consuming)
Is there way to export/import the product variants/options?

Any help will be appreciated.

Probably should open a support ticket with Able on the XML import since it's not working as designed.

The dataclient was just totally re-written at the AC7 object layer, please don't post any bugs until you've tried it with the soon to be released next version.

Mike, any idea on when the new version of the data client will be available?

Also, we have a scenario where we want to notify vendors once a day (or more often) of all their orders and the details. This is for high volume vendors so they won't receive tons of email.

Can we get this specific info out of the site? Will the data client utility be able to do this?
