Every once in awhile I get a order with no shipping charge. I dont notice them right away as they are not flagged in anyway. If you say "ok forget the postage I will just mail it for free" you cant!! You cant print a packing slip. You cant add shipping to it and then print a packing slip. You cant mark them as shipped. You cant change the status from unshippable to shippable. I dont know what to do other than recreate the order myself and then remove the shipping or cancel the order and make the customer order again. So...

A) Why am I getting orders with no shipping attached and why does the system allow this.

B) What am I supposed to do once I get a order like this.


EDIT- I just noticed the last two (maybe the only two) are from the same guy. If I log in as him and try to place a order it always gives me shipping options etc. Not sure what is going on here.

Are these orders being placed on an RC3 installation?

Yes..but the first one was on RC2. I waited to say anything to see if it happened again since I was just about to install RC3 so yes it has happened on both.

These PayPal orders?

I still only had this happen with one customer. He figured out what was causing it and quit doing it. Here is what he said..I never tested it myself so not sure if its a bug or what.

On the 3 orders I've done that havent been charged shipping there is one connection and I've tested the site and this is the problem...The 3 most recent orders without shipping I filled my shopping cart and went to the checkout/billing address page without being logged in, I then clicked the blue log in link thats on that page and entered my password, when the site returned my to the billing address page none of my info was inputed into the slots and I manually entered my address. When I went on to do the mock order for you I logged in first and then went to check out and all my information was entered in already and the system applied shipping charges, also it gave me the actual shipping options to choose from which were never available to me on my previous orders.

I just did that on a site I had set up, and didn't have that problem. I would paste a link for you to try, but the merchant isn't live yet. He is using RC3.

Well like I said he is the only one that this has ever happened to so I am not worried about it.

Sounds to me like he has shipping disabled for those particular products. I would check that first.
