P0 box

Post by Hostmaster » Tue Apr 15, 2008 2:49 pm

We just received an order with UPS ground Shipping, and the Shipping address, same as billing address, is a PO Box.

As Far as I know UPS does not ship to PO boxes.

Is there a setting that I missed somewhere, or how does everyone else deal with this?

We all have to deal with it. In 5.5, I put code on the page to filter out UPS methods if it was a PO Box. You could probably do that in 7. I just tested for all the variations I could think of for PO Box P.O. Box, PO Box, etc.

Only way to "prevent" it is to modify the checkout code. Only USPS will ship to a PO Box so far as I know.

I've had a few come through, but most peeps get it right. A quick note to the customer has gotten the right address pretty fast the few times it's happened to me.
