I think this is a bug.

product A is in category X as well as category Y.
I browse to category Y and then edit product A. my bread crumbs are "Administration > Catalog > Category Y > Product A"

Then I click to edit options and variants and my bread crumbs change to the other category, "Administration > Catalog > Category X > Product A > Variants > Options"

Things like this happened in Able 5.5 in some cases. I think what is going on in AC7 is that it is setting the link back to the first category the product is in or something similar to that.

This is a minor issue. I have verified it exists. It has been entered in our bug database as well.
