AbleCommerce 7.0 Final Release, June 23rd 2008

The AbleCommerce 7.0 final release was made available on June 23rd. The build number of the final release is 9879. If you are upgrading from our RC3 build, a change log as well as upgrade instructions are available on our help site (help.ablecommerce.com).

A warning to those who are upgrading sites on a shared server. I have done two and the encryption key process does not work and the information in the database is not encrypted. I posted a bug and haven't heard since 7/9/08. I just don't want anyone else stuck with charge card info not encrypted. This was patched by Logan in RC3, but it is broken again. I'm sure there will be a patch, but you might want to hold off on the upgrade.

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my AC installation and am following the directions,
"Browse to the <installpath>/install/upgrade.aspx page to run the database script."
but I am unable to locate the upgrade.aspx file. I downloaded ac7_b9879. Is this correct?

You have downloaded the full version which does not include that file. Please open a customer service case and ask for the FTP information so you can download the upgrade build instead.
