We've been doing some server rebuilding/restructuring and I have a need to move our existing AC7 SQL files to a different server iteration. (Still staying on the same physical server.)
At first glance, it seems this could be done with a simple backup/restore and edit of the connection string. Is it really that simple or am I about to blow it up in a dozen places?
We're also looking at upgrading from RC3 to AC7 final. Would this best be done before or after the database migration?

I think moving the SQL files is fairly simple, as you describe above. It is moving the web application files that has additional considerations.
