How do you place an order within the Admin area that doesn't have shipping charges, for instance a point of sale order. We would like to take an order within our store where the customer will leave with the product! Therefore, we shouldn't be charging shipping. The problem is the "Submit page" (Administration > Orders > New Order > Submit) forces you to put in a shipping method.

So what is the correct approach for this?

Create a custom shipping method "POS Order" with a flat zero dollar amount. Assign the shipping method to the security groups your POS users are members of in AC7.

Shipping charges will still have to be calculated, but they can easily choose "POS Order" from the dropdown and proceed with the order entry.
