PayPal Website Payments Pro Payflow Edition Configuration

Post by dnoell » Tue Jul 22, 2008 8:53 am

I know that parts of this question have been addressed in other threads but I have not found an answer that addresses the issue I am having.

Part of our requirements is to have recurring payments. As such, I must use the PayPal Website Payments Pro Payflow Edition. I have set up a Website Payments Pro Test Sandbox account. I then set up the Payflow Pro Gateway in AbleCommerce. In that setup it requests User, Partner, and Password. I have tried the following configurations and get the error "RESULT=26&RESPMSG=Invalid vendor account."

1. USER: Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Login
Password: Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Password
Partner: PayPal
Test URL: https://pilot-payflowpro.verisign.com/transaction

2. USER: Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Login
Password: Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Password
Partner: Verisign
Test URL: https://pilot-payflowpro.verisign.com/transaction

3. USER: Secondary Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Login
Password: Secondary Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account Password
Partner: PayPal
Test URL: https://pilot-payflowpro.verisign.com/transaction

4. I have logged into my Paypal Website Payments Pro Sandbox Test Account and requested Payflow Pro API access via Profile >> Request API credentials >> Set up Payflow Pro API access. Here I am provided a User, Partner, Vendor, and Password. In this case the User and the Vendor are different. so I have tried the following configurations both of which also give me the error: "RESULT=26&RESPMSG=Invalid vendor account." As you are aware, there is no way in AbleCommerce to set both.

4.1. USER: Payflow Pro API User
Password: Payflow Pro API Password
Partner: PayPal
Test URL: https://pilot-payflowpro.verisign.com/transaction

4.2. USER: Payflow Pro API Vendor
Password: Payflow Pro API Password
Partner: PayPal
Test URL: https://pilot-payflowpro.verisign.com/transaction

Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to provide.

We have verified this has a bug.

If you have multiple users with the same account, “vendor” was the account name (e.g. AbleCommerce) and “user” was the individual employee (e.g. Katie). But at the time of our integration, nobody was using that setup – and if you did not use it you could pass the same name for both values.

This has been reported to the development team and we are working on a patch.

Thanks,
Katie
