I need to add a discount that when you purchase 10 or more of one item then shipping is free. I see in adding a shipping coupon it says min purchase but that is based off of a dollar amount instead of quantity.

you can do this from the Shipping > Methods screen in the admin.

In "Add Custom Method" select a type of "Vary By Quanity"

then set the min = 10 and leave the max blank

The quantity that it uses might be a cummulative count, so that might not work.

Yes that is based on all items instead of a particular item. Thank you for the information though this may still come in handy.
