Hello,
I have uploaded my categories and products using dataport, all worked as designed.
Now I am wanting to link a product to a second category.
First Category is laid out like this: Cologne:R:Ralph Lauren
Question: What is the symbol inbetween to link the product to a second category?
Example: Cologne:R:Ralph Lauren (symbol here?) Cologne Mini's:R:Ralph Lauren
I tried "Updating" my products table by using dataport (mapping option was at default), but did not work? Should it have and it not, what would be the best way to achieve this?
Thank you.

Re: Updating Product Categories with Dataport
For Products CSV it will be as
"Sample Category:Computers and Electronics,Sample Category:Accessories,Sample Category:Gift Ideas,Sample Category:Software and Subscriptions"
If you are still confused then from the admin assign a product multiple categories and the export it in CSV and check the format for multiple categories.

Re: Updating Product Categories with Dataport
My fault, I told him wrong. I thought it was a semi-colon, not a comma used to separate categories.

Re: Updating Product Categories with Dataport
I am having trouble putting products into subcategories using dataport 31 and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am using the following in the CSV to specify what category the product belongs in but none of the products are being assigned to any category at all. The final category (FDL Rear Drag Kit) is
Bolt-on Brake Kits:Drag Race:Rear Kit:FDL Rear Drag Kit
Am I doing something wrong in the format of the field?

The last sentence should read: The final category (FDL Rear Drag Kit) is where the product should be located.

Never mind. I figured it out. There was a typo in one of the paths in the category. My mistake. All is working as designed.
