Knowing which orders have already been printed

Is there any way to add a column in the Orders screen that will note if an order has already been printed? When starting in the morning, it is much easier if any orders from the previous day were printed but not completed (ie. they do not need to be printed).

It would be best if this were automatically updated when orders were printed, but even if it must be run as a batch list (just like printing multiple orders- mark the boxes for the orders to be updated, and select 'Mark as Printed' in the selection list).

I don't think so that their is any place with the order where you can keep this information. You may have to create some custom table or file where you can keep this custom info.

This wouldn't be automatic, but can you add an order status "Order Printed" ?

I don't mind if we have to add a step and repeat the procedure for printing multiple orders, only selecting an option to mark the order as printed. It can simply be an 'X" beside the checkbox- just something so that we know an order has already been printed.

I just change the order status.

In our current software we just re-select the items printed and put them as 'Sent to Warehouse.'

Helps the customer know where everything is and it allows us to know what we have printed.

As Judy suggested, you can create an order status named 'Order Printed' (or 'Sent to Warehouse') then once you have printed the order you can set its status to 'Order Printed' in the order manager.
