Single Signon (SSO) with AC 7?

Anyone designed a single sign-on system with AC 7? We are soon to build our new web sites and want to integrate our "main" and "store". We may put it all into AC 7 to help alleviate the situation, but we still have forums and help desk that use other systems unfortunately. I'd love to see a KB/wiki article on developing a SSO solution from Able, in the mean time, I'm interested in anyone else's experience with this, directions to take, etc.?
