I have tried to upload a Google Base Feed via the store admin as well as manually. It will not upload either way. I opened my text file and it appears there is no description although I have a full description on 45K+ items. Any ideas as to why this might be? Does it look at the "summary" or the "description". I dont have any content in the summary field - this is why I ask.

By default, the feed uses the summary field. Here is info on how to create your own feed and I was able to do it for a site:

Is there a quick and easy way of pulling the full description? I mean, summary is pretty much pointless....

There isn't without customization unless you put the description into the summary field in the admin for each product.
We have a product feed add-on that helps you to meet the new Googlebase requirements and you can select what field you want to pull the googlebase description from. You can select different sources for fields like mpn, isbn, upc and gtin. If your product does not have a price or weight, but that data is in the variants, it will pull from the first variant. We are adding the capability to pull all variants because of Google's requirements for apparel products. You can create your feed manually or you can have it created on a schedule. It comes with a year of free updates and it is written so that it can be tweaked later if Google changes requirements again. We are switching our sites that use our site map submission service over to it.

It would be nice to have an OPTION to select Description or Summary as the Google Feed Description source.
