AbleCommerce Shopping Cart Software

I am trying to use the bread crumb code that came with Ablecommerce. My problem is it is only working on certain pages. All of my pages are using the same Acitive Layout which has the BreadCrumb Control in it. When I am on pages like about us, contact us, etc the trail doesn't show up. When I am on pages like search results, shopping cart, products it shows up. What is going on and what am I doing wrong.

Which pages doesn't it show up on?

default.aspx which is okay, Contact.aspx, instructors.aspx, the instructor pages themselves, custom_free.aspx...dozens of pages... http://www.thebackup.com/thebackupstore You can see what pages the trail is showing up on and vise versa.
