Vendor Notification
Some how I am completely missing this or maybe someone deleted it out of our system accidentally.
Can anyone point me to where/how this works? I could have sworn I tested it before we modded able.
Thanks!

Re: Vendor Notification
First, create a vendor. Make sure you assign the email address to the vendor. This is where notifications will be sent.
Then assign that vendor to the products you want.
Now go into Configure, Email, Templates. You should have an existing email template "Vendor Notification". Edit the template.
The template "From Address" should be your store email address - for instance mine is SolunarSales@Solunar.com.
The template "To Address" should be the word "vendor" (without quotes).
Populate the BCC field with your email address if you want to monitor the emails being sent to the vendors.
Finally, select the trigger you want that will fire the email to the vendor. By default, "Order Paid" is the selected trigger. It fires when payment capture is performed i.e. when the order is considered paid-in-full. So even if you enter a manual payment, receive a check etc it should still fire.
Remember there is no confirmation on your part possible. Once the order is paid, the trigger is fired and the email goes out the door.

Re: Vendor Notification
Is there no control on if it should goto a vendor?
Real life example/question.
Vendor A - Doesn't drop ship - everything is stocked in FireFold's warehouse
Vendor B - Drop ship only - nothing is stocked in FireFold's warehouse.
I'd like Vendor B's products to be put on 'cruise control and fire those out when the order is paid. At the same time Vendor A's should be ignored.

Re: Vendor Notification
Don't specify an email address in the vendor setup for the vendor you do not want to receive emails.
It's an all-or-none situation. If you have a single vendor where some parts are drop-shipped and others are not, you'll need to set up two vendor records. One with an email address and one without.

Re: Vendor Notification
How do I manually trigger the vendor email function as in Able 5.5?
Best regards, Thomas

Re: Vendor Notification
I don't know if any way to do that with email templates being sent to a non-customer email address.

Re: Vendor Notification
You may have to do customization to have this functionality. This is what I am looking for.
