Unprocessed Status?

We have been humming along on 7 for four months or so now. Originally we set up the cart with just Payflow Pro as the gateway. Later we added Google Checkout as an options. A couple of days ago we also added Paypal as a payment option. Until we added Paypal I had never seen the status of "Unprocessed". Now all of the sudden we are seeing it left and right. More than half of the time a credit card was used instead of Paypal, and the cerdit card info has clearly been entered fully at the time of checkout. The Payflow Pro gateway is set to 'Authorize'.
Can anyone tell me what this is all about?
