Do you run two sites or one? (Main/Store)

Hello AC'ers,

Curious how many of you use AC 7 for your exclusive web presence or do you have two sites; one for a main portal/business and then the store as the place for only e-commerce? I'm debating whether to stay with our current "two site" system where we have a main business front and then AC is only used for purchasing. There is certainly redundant information which makes maintenance more complicated but managing things like downloads, mailing lists, customer service, community forums all require separate entities.

Interested in your thoughts on using AC 7 as a single portal or whether your venture decided to keep sites separate.
