Dataport question Migrating AC5.2 Store

Hello,

We are currently starting development of a site for an existing able commerce user. Their current store is running in 5.2 and I was under the impression that we would have to upgrade the site to 5.5 and then use the dataport utility to migrate the store xml to 7.0.

When i start up the dataport utility, it refers to the "Store Upload AC5.x" which seems to indicate that it will upload a 5.2 store as well, eliminating the need to migrate from 5.2 to 5.5?

Does 5.2 have the function in the backoffice that will export the store xml?

It is recommended to upgrade your store to AC5.5, because we have only focused on AC55 database structure while implementing the import routines...

It can however work with your AC5.2 exported data, but we have never tested it, so, no guarantee of results..
