Bulk Item Import

In 5.5 we were able to import a spreadsheet of our items. Can we not do this in 7.0? Does anyone know how to do this?

The AbleCommerce Data Client Utility is a free download from the forums here that gives you the ability to import products, customers etc using various file formats.
You will find it in the sticky posts at the top of this particular forum.

You mean theres nothing built in to the browser for my clients to use like in 5.5? Are gonig backwards?

Hello,
The data client is much better than the tools that were built into 5.5 where you had to paste data into the forms. It is not going backwards. Did you try it out?

Is this the same AC 7 Data Port tool that i used to move the data? Not a very good tool for the end user who does not have a lot of experiance.

Importing data into a complex storefront product like AC7 is rarely simple. The data client does a good job of protecting the users from creating an unusable storefront db. I'm sure Able will continue to make improvements to the data client as time goes on. But for now, it's the best tool for the job if you can't program your own data import routines.
