You have to edit the SQL table ac_TrackingNumbers directly. There is no way to edit a tracking number once it's been posted.

Joe, it's not possible for me to edit the table directly. Version 5.5 had this ability within the store, maybe it could be added or offered as an uprade by Able.

Understandable.

I hope so too - perhaps Mazhar can whip something up for everyone to download until then. It's been sorely needed for a while now.

This is something we could use also. My staff scratched their head trying to find the edit button for the tracking.

It didn't exist!

Here is the modified page with editing support for tracking number. Extract and replace the EditShipment.aspx file in your Website\Admin\Orders\Shipments directory with this page.

Please first take backup of your existing EditShipment.aspx page

Hi Mazhar,

I have been using the revised EditShipment.aspx page. There is one thing I noticed and I'm hoping you can help.

If you have a tracking number entered and want to go back and edit it the revised file works great.

What I often find myself having to do is go into Shipments and Ship the Order. Then either that evening or then next day my vendor will email me the tracking number. I would like to go back in and enter the tracking number but if you do not initially enter a tracking number that field will not be there. There will only be "Delivery Instructions" shown.

Do you think that would be something you would be able to correct, please?

Thank you!

Since we are on the tracking bandwagon. I was wondering if there was some better way to re-assign/edit/change a shipment after it has been shipped.

The merge button goes away. A button that we could 'move' items to a new shipment would be great.

Currently we have to create a second shipment, go into order items, delete the item, re-add the item, assign it to the second shipment, then ship the item. Quite a few steps just to separate a shipment.

This happens a lot for us because we use Shipper 3 - and our 'drop ship' tracking comes in the next day. Shipper 3 ships the entire package no matter what.

Here is the modified file. Now when you edit a shipment that has no tracking number then the page will give you the ability to enter the tracking number.
