Google Analytics vs. Able ac_PageViews

I'm seeing consistent large differences between these 2 sources:
- Google "Visitors" are 130% of Able "Visitors" (using count distinct UserId)
- Google "Page Views" are 30% of Able "Page Views"

Any thoughts as to why? What determines when an Able ac_PageViews record is written?

I've seen the opposite. Google stats are consistently lower than my AC7 stats and weblog stats. I've (perhaps incorrectly) attributed it to certain site visits not having Java enabled - Java is required for Google Analytics to work.

Your page views difference could be the result of certain pages not being assigned the Google Footer with Analytics. I had that happen on my site - there were so many pages to set and I missed some. So the footer on certain pages never included the Google widget code and thus weren't tracked by Google Analytics.

Thanks Joe. I checked the urchin tag - it's on every footer. I can grok the difference between visitor/distinct user id but the pageviews? Unless, of course, doh! - I remove all of the heartbeats from our HostMonitor app. Should have looked at the raw data first ...

I feel the pain. The Xigla LiveSupport I installed on my site did some really funky things to my numbers - for a while there I was feeling like Microsoft.com
