AbleCommerce Shopping Cart Software

I could not find a post about this. I want to have some type of message come up letting customers know that a product (ideally which product and how many) has been added to the cart when they hit the “add to cart” button. Right now you don’t know if something is added until you go to the cart. I could see customers repeatedly hitting the button thinking nothing is happening.

I know this is an old post, but I still think there is a bit of an issue here. On my store I have the Mini basket in the right column and a cart total at the top of the column. Everything works great, but unless you know to look there, you will still assume nothing was added to the cart. Is there a simple way to make a message appear at the top of the "content" section of the page upon the click of the "add to cart" button? I would like something like:

"Item" - Qty: "quantity added" has been added to your cart.

I wrote it this way so we don't end up with sentences that read incorrectly because of the plural name of the item not being correctly displayed.
