Hi,

Does anybody know how to retrieve delivery zone postal codes defined in the admin site?

My problem:
My client only delivers his orders to addresses in certain postal codes. Before accepting an order, the system needs to validate order's ship to address against a list of postal codes. If the address is not valid, an error message needs to be displayed to the user.

My solution:
My client defines the postal codes in "Configure Shipping Zones" page. I modify the system to retrieve the postal codes from the database and use them to valid order's ship to address.

My problem:
How can I retrieve the postal codes that defined in the zones?

Any suggestions are welcome. If you know a better solution for my problem, please direct me.

I think this is doable without any customization. On the merchant side just specify the available postal codes for the zones. The system will not place the orders for postal codes that are not available within zones.

Hi,

I defined the postal codes in the shipping zones, but the system does not prevent out-of-zone orders to be created. My client's business is in Canada. One sample postal code I set up in the shipping zone is "***6M6". Am I doing it at the right place? Is there anything else I need to set up?

Please help me out. Thank you!

Make sure that your shipping method is available only for selected zones for which you have entered the postal codes
