How to add an extra line on variant dropdown box??

I was hoping someone here could help me with the following problem. We are an online clothing store, and some of the larger sizes for the items we distribute cost more than the standard price listed. For example:

Size Small $45.00
Size Medium $45.00
Size Large $50
Size Extra Large $50

We have the sizes displayed as variants on the site, and they are shown in a dropdown box. Was there any way to get the dropdown box to display the items with a higher price with a "(+ $5.00)" next to them so the customer knows beforehand. The way AC processes the variant price structure leaves many of our customers confused (even though the price changes after they select the size).
