Image Resizing help.

Hello,

We're testing a Able Development Website and today I was playing with the product images. My standard image size is configured to 500x500 pixels, my thumbnail size is 120x120 and my icon size is 50x50. I uploaded a crystal clear 500x500 image, so Ablecommerce didn't have to resize the standard size (500x500) but I don't know whats happening, even if I upload a 500x500 image, the result is a blurry standard (500x500 also) image. Why?

Thumbnail and Icon images are ok.

We didn't changed anything related with images...

Just to experiment, try changing the standard image resize to 400 x 400 and see if that works. If not, you might have some metadata in your image file that Able doesn't like- I have had that happen before. (Like camera type, etc)

It was because metadata, removed and it worked. Thats really odd.

Could you upload one of the images you had trouble with? I posted a bug, but the control is a built in .net thing that Able can't changed, but they asked for a sample image to pass along to show the problem.

I am having the same problem. I am uploading the jpg.
I have tried it with a 800pix wide image, a 500 wide, a 2000 wide. Able re sizes it to a 500x500 blurry image.

I also got it fixed by saving the image with out the meta data. But i would be nice if it did not care.
