AbleCommerce Shopping Cart Software

We currently reveiewing what would be necessary to replace the AbleCommerce Membership Provider with out own to facilitate a "single-signon." I writing to see if anyone has added a custom membership provider to AbleCommerce. Any guidance would be appreciated.
