Hi,
I am in process of creating store where customers have option to upload their own image for use in printed product.
We are just now reviewing/purchasing AbleCommerce...wanting to know if AbleCommerce can handle uploads or if we'll
need to use something like YouSendIt? ...any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
gc

It doesn't come with Able, but Web2Market.com has developed an upload file add-on. Customer can upload the files in two different pages- checkout receipt or my order page. It shows a dropdown so the customer can select the print location that has been set as a product template field for the product (front, back) or just a general upload. The upload files are zipped up as they are uploaded if that is required. Files are renamed with the order number, time stamp, print location. There is an admin page to display the uploads in most recent first order and a section to filter the uploads by order number. Image files that are not zipped show the image as a thumbnail next to the hyper link with the file name. It writes the files to the server hard drive as they are uploaded and keeps the CPU/memory usage low. Maximum file size and allowed files can be set. (It's pretty slick, if I do say so myself!

)
You can contact
bkort@web2market.com-- I'm not sure what the pricing will be.

Forgot- it also posts the file name to a note on the order and sends an email of the note.
Here are some screenshots of a test installation:
