Is there a manual for building products?

There is nothing in the manual about products:

Some pre-purchase musings....

Use of short, long descriptions, any allowed html?
how to build choices/modifiers - do they 'share' - can shared choices be 'un-shared' at the product level for product-specific editing?
types of choices (drop-down, radio button/image or text, text input, others that other carts don't offer)
product cloning - what clones with the product, what doesn't?
bundling/shipping products together/separately

I'm using a cart now that has disappointed in so many ways through so many Sp's and bug fixes that I'm numb. Trial and error, and "trial by falling flat on your face after an all-night session" is getting REALLY OLD!
So is a multi-year battle with the staff to get even the simplest functions to run right after a 'fix'.

Even cloning isn't explained in the AB on-line manual. You can clone products?

If this stuff isn't explained in text, I'm going to have to build and run a trial store for a while.

Can you please explain what you mean by 'building' products. Can you please give an example of a product with features that you want to see so that someone can post an example.

Creating new products is as simple as clicking a button and providing the required information. Once on a product edit page Product Options and Choices section can be accessed from left navigation menu (Options and Variants). If your products are composed of components you can use kits. The kits section is also accessible from product edit page.... and there are other sections all accessible from product left nav. ... see below.

Can I assume that the manufacturer's "part number" - SKU - can be seen on the email to the manufacturer/vendor so he can use it when drop-shipping (instead of using my SKU)?

Are variants editable on each product if they are 'shared'? Store Front 6 had choices that could be assigned to products, then edited... BVC5 doesn't allow this. If you need to edit a 'shared' choice for only one product, you can't. The choice must be re-created and saved as a shared choice and then assigned to the product OR created specifically for that specific product.

There is no provision for shipping one SKU in 2 separate boxes - like a basketball and a hoop. Unless offered as a kit, Correct?

Variants are not shared, If you duplicate a product it would duplicate the Variants. But they would be separate.

currently Able dose not do multiple boxes for shipping quotes. Please vote for this as a feature you want.
