AbleCommerce Configuration Install - Mazhar..

I was referred to Mazhar here for this question from one of the tech support guys (Mike), but if anyone else can answer this too somehow that would be good too.
I'm at the install page for the AbleCommerce software and I need to input the proper database information. I currently have the 30-day demo version and am planning to upgrade it once we start plugging stuff into here.
We currently have a database with our company and were told we can import all of our information into the database with AbleCommerce....do we need OUR database information inputted when at the configuration page or is that something we do later. If it's something we do later, what should be put in there then?
I was also informed that "...However importing users into the system can be an issue depending on the encryption method used in the current installation. Some are one way encryptions which are impossible to import."
Is this something that is a choice? What are the details with something like that as this would be a huge issue to our company. We also use the Microsoft Dynamics Nav Database.
I'm fairly new at all of this, more help the better. We would really love to get this thing at least started since we've had a lot of issues already with little errors here and there with our server and vice-versa.
