Displaying product summary on site

Hi all,

Curious I'm not finding how to do this, but when adding a product we have a space for a product summary. This doesn't appear to be shown anywhere useful... Is there a way to have this show up on the normal Show Product 1 scriptlet?

On the product display page under product image you can see two link options available description and More Details. The description options shows summary you enter for product and more details will render product description.

Hi Mazhar,

I am looking at the product display page and it shows the summary no where. I only see the Description area. Could it be turned off somewhere? It doesn't show up in any view. Our Admin shows 3 options for a product, Summary, Description and More Details. We have Summary and Description filled in, but the only text I see showing up anywhere is the Description.

HI Rob, summary field of product is used for some category listing pages and featured products to provide a short description of product. For example have a look on featured products grid if you have any featured product then you will see this summary available on the grid for each product. Secondly on some category that contains products with summary apply some category listing page that do list summary of product for example you can make use of CategoryDetails page and you will see summary next to each product on listing.
