Email Templates not showing nVelocity Variables

Post by rhuffman » Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:42 pm

O.k.

We have converted from 5.x to 7.5.14053.

We have tested our emails and none of the templates are working.
When we do a print preview or send the email none of the nVelocity variables are converting.

Therefore [OrderNumber] [OrderDate] [OrderNumber] etc. None of these are working. They are showing up at Variable Name, not the data.

You need to update your email templates using nVelocity variables. Variables in square brackets will no longer work in AC7. They had a very limited scope and usage. The new method allows you to do things with your email templates that you couldn't imagine in previous version. However the drawback is that your old email templates will have to be upgraded before they are useful.
