Having Top Sellers in Sidebar change based on Category

Hello,

I am sure someone has asked this before but I couldn't make any posts show up under the search words I was trying.

Right now I have three Top Sellers displayed in the RightSideBar. As I browse the site they mostly stay the same three products.

Is there anyway they could change based on the Category the customer is in?
So, if they browse Category A it will display the Top Sellers from that category, and so on?

If this has been posted please help me find the link :)
Thank you.

I can't remember if there is one, but W2M has a new plug-in that allows the merchant to show Best Sellers by category that he defines himself. It operates by displaying the products that merchant has put into a private category "Best Sellers" in the selected category in addition to their appearing in the category themselves. You can see it in the left nav here:

Or you can see it here in the right nav:

I am having the same problem - on my site, if I click the sub-category link instead of the search sidebar link the correct category specific items come up. this seems to be a bug.

I believe this maybe happening due to search sidebar ajax. The reason is Category Search Sidebar on search page makes use of ajax and hence any control that needs to update depending on sidebar events must have some code to deal with it. You can look at CategoryGridPage.ascx.cs file and see how it attempts to catch the updates from sidebar.
