Have the Search Box go to Advanced Search Page

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could make any modification to the simplesearch and advancedsearch conlib pages to have the search box that I have on all of my pages send the text to the advanced search page. I want to get rid of having two pages, search.aspx and advancedsearch.aspx and just have the results go to the advancedsearch.aspx page, since I like the table format of the results as compared to the grid view of the simple search.
