Email Template Design Struggles

Post by calvis » Tue Aug 28, 2012 12:28 pm

Hi There,

Does anyone else struggle with getting their email HTML templates looking like they do in preview mode?

I am using GMAIL to view my test emails with and I am having problems getting it to look right. Do the email providers not format HTML email correctly or what?

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks,

Email providers don't format HTML correctly. Or at least email providers don't format HTML the same. Here are a some articles that should help:
http://www.sitepoint.com/code-html-email-newsletters/
http://groundwire.org/labs/email-publis ... ewsletters

And this is a handy tool that will convert your CSS styles in <head> to inline styles

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info.

I will check it out. Making the HTML look good for all the mail services is driving me crazy. Hopefully I will get some good pointers from the links you provided.
