"Added to Cart" Dialog

Hello,
I am looking for a way to notify the customer when an item is added to the cart. I read the posts on popup logins (viewtopic.php?f=47&t=9983) but those seem much more complex than what I am trying to do.
Ideally, just a simple (and attractive) dialog pop up to display some text: "Item has been added to cart" and a "OK" button centered below it - if Greybox or something similar can accomplish this, that would be great.
I figured that this could be useful for many AC stores, so I am wondering if anyone has implemented something like this, or has any ideas of how it can be done.
