Custom Theme using Bootstrap 3

Post by itnovator » Wed Apr 23, 2014 8:31 am

We are currently using R3 version of AC, just never stopped thinking of building existing system on top of R7 instead of upgrading from R3 to R7 (would be nuts).

Before we start doing so, how much R7 compatible with Bootstrap 3 frameworks? Do we have to redefine every piece of CSS? Does anyone have any insight about ti? What is the best way to apply Bootstrap 3 frame to create our own theme? In order to allow future upgrade, say R8, what DOs or what Donts?

thanks!!

Generally, we make very little updates to the CSS when going from version to version. I don't know if this is the answer you are looking for though. The "wireframe" theme is recommended as a starting point if you plan on making heavy customizations.

Thanks, Katie, I thought R7 has already used Bootstrap. That is fine, wireframe is the one to start.
