Bold text for top category in tree view

Post by Chris Hadden » Tue Dec 09, 2014 10:23 am

Able 7.02

In the left hand category tree used to navigate the web site. I would like to have the top category in Bold to help differentiate from subcategories below. I don't see a way to control that separately as it stands. Lot's of past posts on more complex ideas, could someone post a simple solution...

I'm not sure. It almost sounds like you have something custom for your website. Do you know which control is being used? Maybe a link to the website would help too.

Sorry, but I don't think this is something that has a quick and simple solution. First, the control might have been something provided here as a free code sample, but I don't think it came stock with version 7.0.2 so I don't know exactly where to look.

To make the change, you will need to find the section that outputs the top-level category and give it some unique style name. Then apply the bold through your stylesheet. The technique is easy, but if the code does not distinguish between top level and sub-level categories, then you are looking at a customization that is beyond my level of expertise.
