We are looking into expanding the size of our website. Before doing so i would like to see if there is any recommended size or MAX size that i shouldn't exceed.

I'm not sure what you are asking in terms of size. I would think the more content the better for SEO. New and changing content is also a good thing so blogs are an easy way to keep adding fresh content to your site.
