When we get beta 2 pushed out, it will be easier to see this in action. The new one page checkout scriptlet has two options:
[[ConLib:OnePageCheckout EnableGiftWrap="true" EnableMultiShipTo="true"]]
You could set the gift wrap to false, and it would remove the references to gift wrap on the page.
