FeaturedCategoryItems images "broken"

After adding the FeaturedCategoryItems control to CategoryGridpage2 scriptlet (above CategoryGridPage2 control) everything renders correctly except the product image, which has a path of "https://serverip/~/Assets/ProductImages ... 108900.jpg" where the standard catalog image is "https://serverip/Assets/ProductImages/i ... 108900.jpg" - any suggestions for resolution?

Changed icon path from relative to absolute in catalog to resolve.
