How to create new email template from scratch?

How to create new email template from scratch?

How is everyone creating brand new HTML email templates in AC7? Are you just using the integrated editor or some sort of outside program and then copy/paste it into AC7?

Soon as I make the smallest change to an email template, it implodes on me. Especially if I make the change while in HTML mode (the default). Seems less likely to implode if I switch to source view before revisions.

Thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.
