I am not sure if anyone’s working on this. I would like to alow customers to join a "membership club" For a certain fee they would get a discount for a year on anything they purchase. I know this can be done manually with groups. Has anyone found a way to make this more automated? These are the ideas I have.

1. Customer gets automatically assigned to a group
2. Customer gets a reminder when their membership is about to expire
3. Customer is automatically removed from membership after expirations

Any though?

I think this is a good idea.

I was looking for something similar but using some sort of coupon code. I could make a coupon for the membership coupon and that would work good for me.
