AbleCommerce Shopping Cart Software

We would like to search for products (both public and private) using SKU and Manufacturer Part Number. I found this thread:

But it only searches for public product. There is some code in the reply that change it to search for all products but then it doesn't work for manufacturer part number. Any idea how I can search all private and public products with Manufacturer part number? Thanks!

I am interested in this as well. Any help from mods/admin?
