When clicking Preview from the Edit Product page
(e.g. Admin/Products/EditProduct.aspx?CategoryId=265&ProductId=2186)
The system generates this URL
ProductHandlebarKit.aspx?ProductId=2186&CategoryId=265

When the shopper clicks on the product detail this is the URL the system creates.
CREATE-YOUR-OWN-Custom-STANDARD-COMPLETE-Ape-Hanger-Kit-for-Softail-1990-2010-P2186.aspx

When creating a new product that replaces an existing product, there is no way to generate the URL that the shopper sees without making the product Public.

We need a way to create the Fixed Redirects before we bring the new product online. Therefore, when clicking the Preview link in Edit Product Page, display the same URL the shopper will see.

Sorry, I missed that you are using version 7.0.7. This is already fixed in AbleCommerce Gold.

That is great news. We are waiting for the shipping method issues to be resolved before making the upgrade to Gold. I hear there are workarounds, but we are in the middle of customization projects and do not have time to deal with it now.
