AbleCommerce Shopping Cart Software

Our company is interested in having a section of our website for blogging / informational pages. We are exploring some options and I was looking for some feedback on what would be preferred.

Here is a link to something very simliar to what we would like to do :

Our options:
1. Building a new section of our site using categories and webpages to display information
2. Use an outside site like wordpress to post our things
3. Utilize some feature in AC i have yet to learn about

Any direction would be appreciated !!

The latest version of AbleCommerce has some new features that allow you to build a blog/informational pages within the catalog system. Here is an example of how it can be used.

By keeping this within AbleCommerce, you can maintain a consistent theme for all your pages, and you can utilize organization of the pages through categories.

If you are looking for a Wordpress blog site, then you can go that way as well. It would be outside of AbleCommerce though.

And maybe some day in the future Able will implement webpage search on the customer side? Hint, hint.

I keep asking Judy. It needs to be a setting though.

Now with webpage blogs, it really should be a feature. Let me give it another push with the dev team.

Just checking in on this to see if there has been any development other than what is available in the merchant guide. Also interested in any third party add-ons or plug-ins that are easily integrated !

Thanks for the info and I made my vote. Using webpages or using the product page workaround should work for us.

Just because I'm curious, would you recommenced any plug ins or add ons for blog posting ?
