I'd like to see a shipping and/or handling field at the product/variant level to accomodate product-based shipping charges (like http://www.winecountrygiftbaskets.com). This could also be used to add surcharges to abnormally large (heavy or big) products.

I need this too... We have large products, some of which require truck freight and need an additional S&H charge. In the past we had tried to add the additional charge as a required option. This is a headache for accounting and confuses the customer.

Our Back-end supports additional S&H charges on a per product level. If we could push this to AC7, it would sure simplify things.

I need this for the same reasons that have already been stated. Plus some of my customers are able to more accurately calculate shipping costs this way.
