Review Reminder Emails on Recent Purchased Products
We would like to encourage customers to write a review on their recent purchases. It would be nice if Able could allow a admin to email customers x days after purchase along with the product link, and review link as a reminder to write a review.
Able Customer Since 1999 Currently Running on GOLD R12 SR1 and PCI Certified.

Without asking the customer if they wish to receive these it would be spam. Either they opt-in or it's spam, and spam does actually upset some folks.

Hmm, sure sounds familiar, MIKE wanted this feature years ago!
I disagree that it's spam! This "follow-up e-mail" feature has huge benefits:
-7 days after purchase remind the user of what they expect to see on their credit card statement
-Ensure customer satisfaction, remind them of a return policy if they are not satisfied - they'd love to know they have the option to return if not happy
-Invite a product review
-Offer products they may be interested in (can have an option during checkout not to receive follow-up e-mails...)
Bottom line, let the merchant/customer of AC decide what to use or not. Build the feature and we can turn it off if we think our customers may not like it. But don't tie our hands with one person's opinion.

Hi All,
I would like to suggest that it be taken a step further.
If we could send any email template at a set period from the sale it could be an enourmously important sales tool eg:
Suggest an upsell product
Send a coupon code for a special offer
Accessories reminder
Newsletter opt in email
etc.
In fact it would be very useful to be able to send several emails at various intervals.
I agree that without an initial opt in it could be considered spam if it were not handled well, some control by the customer on checkout or at very least a clear opt out on each email would be needed.

Well, I see that a majority of people like this feature request. I think that it is very common to receive an email, say 30 days, after the purchase. I receive those types of emails and I never ask to receive them or sign up for any newsletter.
It just says something like.. If you have a moment would you please rate your purchase with [Company Name].
Has anyone built a plugin of some kind that would make this possible with the current version of AbleCommerce?
I've gotten 2 reviews since I upgraded from 5.5 to 7.0 over 6 months ago. Without an email with a link to the product(s) they purchased I don't see getting many reviews, unless you are an extremely high traffic site.
Reviews are nice because they also add unique content for the search engines. My product descriptions are short so most of my pages probably don't even qualify showing up in search results. But with customer reviews it would be a different story.
In any case, hopefully it will be added at some point. But, until then, if someone has made something or knows how to make something I will pay for it.

Following up on an order is definitely not spam. Asking for a review of a product they just purchased is normal in today's eCommerce world. Amazon asks customers for product AND merchant reviews in a follow up email.
