Returns management - negative quantity orders

Instead of the current returns process of returning an inventory item within a completed order, which requires manual adjustments, it might be nice to allow customer service agents (based on security level) to input negative quantity orders. By conducting the return through a formal order, we automate all the necessary items to accomplish what is now a very unpleasant process of manual adjustments in both able and quickbooks.
