We currently use to authorize transactions. However we capture payments through Bank of America. The authorization holds the funds and when capturing the payment through Bank of America, this often leads to card denials on debit cards. Is there anyway to authorize credit card information without holding funds? Or a gateway that is integrated with Bank of America?

In the AbleCommerce Admin interface check the AuthorizeNet gateway settings and make sure it is being set to Authorize and Capture (The default is Authorize Only).

Administration > Configure > Payments > Gateways > Edit Gateway

If the payment gateway is being set to 'Authorize Only' you have to manually capture each transaction from the Authorize.Net control panel interface.

PS: From our experience with merchant providers Banks are usually the most expensive merchant account providers. You can check some of the authorized
merchant account providers authorized by AuthNet and get a better discount rate and AuthorizeNet support: ... directory/
